#BLACKLIVESMATTER

Hello, eclectic souls ♥

We here at Nile Yang are hoping you are all staying safe and healthy! It's been a while since our last blog post, and today, we want to address the current issues occurring in our society.

We may have been silent on the blog for a while, but myself and Nile have been VERY active on social media talking about all of the protests, sharing legitimate information and educating those who may need a little more help. Nile has been actively attending protests in honor of George Floyd, the BLM movement and against police brutality. We have taken this time to promote black owned businesses in support of our black brothers and sisters, so please check out Nile Yang's social media for links to some amazing black owned businesses!

Our hearts are broken, we are angry and we are ready for change. We know that change can't happen until we start with ourselves, and with that being said, we hope our team effort brings justice for those we have lost at the hands of the police officers who were meant to protect us. Let your voices be heard, stand up for what you believe in, and love one another. Always remember that all lives can't matter until BLACK lives, LGBTQIA+ lives, Latinx lives and Women's lives MATTER.

Though our timelines have slowly returned back to our normal feeds full of memes and mindless posts, keep in mind that the fight isn't over, and won't be over until there is change!

With everything that has been going on, and continues to occur, I needed to take a little bit of a break from sharing as much as I was initially because the outrage was really starting to take a toll on my mental health. So here's a friendly reminder to also take care of yourself and make sure you're okay.

I wanted to make sure I had collected my thoughts before addressing everything so that this post wouldn't be all over the place. There is so much I could still say, but this will be all for now. We will continue to update you via the blog and social media about any updates regarding our products.

Love,

Stephanie ♥
